Hello Neighbours! Spring in Fort McMurray!

We hope that you are beginning to enjoy the warmer weather outside and look forward to plenty of sunshine in the next few months.  As spring approaches, we’d like to share a few updates with you:

  • Fencing to designate personal use areas (backyards) will begin across the property as soon as the ground is dry enough to work. Crews will need access to install posts, chain-link and gates – please be mindful to keep all outdoor items clear of work areas as this process begins.
  • Several units have driveways with significant sloping issues causing difficulties when parking. Repairs to these driveways are scheduled to start at the beginning of June.
  • The neighbourhood will be moving to a parking pass system to reduce the use of our development by others and to make sure everyone has a place to park. Additional information will be sent out shortly.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS (BYLAWS)

To keep our neighbourhood a safe and enjoyable place to live we have a set of community standards in place (our bylaws) that all residents must follow.  These policies ensure that we comply with fire codes, insurance, and city requirements as examples. A few reminders:

  • BBQ’s – Must be stored at least 10’ away from the building exterior. They can’t be placed on decks, front porches, balconies or beside the patio doors.
  • FIREPITS/BOWLS/OPEN FLAMES – Are not permitted anywhere on the property.
  • PETS – All pets must be leashed and remain controlled while enjoying the common grounds. Residents are responsible for picking up after their pet.  Please do not allow pets to urinate or defecate on buildings or structures.
  • CLEANLINESS – Personal use areas must be kept neat & tidy including prompt clean-up/removal of any garbage and pet waste.
  • GARBAGE – Must be stored in approved containers only. Not to be kept on balconies.
  • AIR CONDITIONERS – Units installed into windows are not permitted. Residents must use floor mounted systems if A/C is desired.
  • PARKING – Permitted in designated areas (your driveway) or shared spaces (visitor parking) only. Vehicles cannot be parked on medians, common grounds, in front of B style garages or in fire lanes as examples.  No exceptions.
